Bethany’s Music Ministry
Adult Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir performs regularly during Sunday worship, special services, and cantatas throughout the liturgical year. Although we are a small group, every part (soprano, alto, bass, and tenor) is represented. Our tremendous repertoire of music includes a broad range of musical styles, adapted to create a blended worship experience. Most members read music; however, it is not a requirement. We will teach you!
The Chancel Choir continues to rehearse with caution (wearing masks, social distancing, utilizing sanitizer, etc.) throughout our practice environment as we work on familiar and joyful hymns, very well-liked by our congregation. We are anxious to return to our regular service with meaningful words and music to inspire our devoted congregation!
Come join us from 6:30 to 7:45 on Wednesday evening. New members are always welcome!

Handbell Choir
The Bethany Handbell Choir has been in existence for over 30 years. Pat Crispell has been our Director for that entire time. We play five octaves of bells and three octaves of handchimes, and often add other instruments when we perform. We have members that have played from the very beginning of the choir, and members who only started a year or two ago. Our musical repertoire varies from spirituals and gospel to jazz and contemporary. If you can count, you can probably play handbells. We’ll teach you to read music if you haven’t already learned. Our practice time is from 8:00 to 9:00 on Wednesday evenings from August to June. We welcome new ringers!
