The Fellowship Dartball League
The Fellowship Dartball League consists of 15 teams from churches in Durham and Orange counties, North Carolina. Dartball is a game that combines throwing darts with the rules and gameplay of baseball. The season runs from September to April, with a tournament at the end of the season to determine the league champion. Games are played on Monday nights.
Husted Award
Dr. Husted was a Methodist Minister who moved to the N.C. Conference from New York. He was a chaplain at the Methodist Retirement Home. He began the dartball league in 1957. The Dr. Husted Award is given in his honor. It is awarded to a man who has given continued support to his team and the league. This man, over the years of dartball, must have exemplified the Christian fellowship upon which Dr. Husted founded the league. A trophy in his honor will be awarded at the end of the season.
The Bethany Team:
Bethany started in the league from the outset and has continued with a team each year until the present. We’ve had our ups and downs over the years as far as how we finished in the final standings. But, the main focus has been in good Christian fellowship for the men of the greater Durham/Orange county area.
