Who we are:
- A group of middle school and high school students who are Learning, Loving and Living as Jesus teaches
- Our group is unique and creative and heavily involved in mission work
- Some other fun activities that we participate in during our youth meeting times are: fishing, watching movies, New Year’s Eve lock-in’s, holiday celebrations, Durham Bulls baseball games, art expression, Pilgrimage (annual youth pilgrimage in Fayetteville, NC), and a variety of other fun activities depending on the group’s interests and desires
- We are welcoming to anyone that would like to join us.
When we meet:
- Sunday School: 9:50 am every Sunday
- UMYF meets every week on Wednesdays from 6:00 – 8:00. We share a meal together, enjoy the company of each other and crack open the Bible.
Ministries we are involved in:
- Urban Ministries of Durham: We prepare and serve a meal every other month on the last Friday of the month (See calendar for specific dates)
- Our past youth groups were very involved in out-of-state mission work, particularly disaster relief. Some of the areas they traveled to include:
- Red Bird Mission, KY
- Philadelphia, PA
- Goldsboro, NC
- New Orleans, LA
- Other ministries include Bethany Projects such as stew making, yard sales, Christmas Eve service luminaries, poinsettia sales, fundraising at Duke football games (help set up and sell merchandise), etc.

- We are very accepting and open to diversity.
